On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Planning for improvement

My son just forwarded this picture he took when we went to check out the new puppies the Friday after Thanksgiving.  I haven't been this thin since the 1980s when I used to jog around Lake Merced in San Francisco.  Hopefully weight loss will be a lasting positive.

My power cord died during the weekend and I couldn't use my computer to write to you guys.  Well, I was totally sick and miserable so there wouldn't have been anything to say.

Today is much better and I have vague thoughts of getting dressed.  Some day I'd like to draw again; this the longest stretch without a single line.

Five days of heavy rain was wonderful.  There were little intervals so none of the rivers overflowed, always a risk in this area.  More rain is expected tomorrow, but today is bright and sunny and gorgeous.
