Just messing around
Today was the second (of fifteen) radiation treatments. I also met with the radiation oncologist who gave me every reason to maintain hope. So far, my cancer has disobeyed all the rules, a good thing. It is very slow growing, another good thing. So it makes sense to him to knock it back some more - hopefully giving me pain relief while shrinking it down - and then I'll be free to go about my life. That's the plan.
Steve has been hauling me around again to my various appointments. I don't actually need the help - I feel fine - but it's nice to have his company. I'm making this week as normal as possible - seeing clients, spending time at Juvenile Hall, hopefully even getting to class tomorrow night, but that's uncertain. I've been reading more and definitely napping less than I did last week when I felt so wonky.
Oldest son and his wife are flying in from Honolulu again for a Saturday visit so that's one more thing to look forward to. We, in the meantime, are making plans to see them in March. Gotta get these dates on the calendar so I lock myself into living. I mean, I wouldn't want to make a commitment and then flake.
