On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Falling apart

For almost two weeks we've oriented our lives around the Olympics.  I mean, everything needs to be done by 8:00 so we can sit down and watch.  7:00 is better because then we can watch the pre-competition hype.  But I do have to admit, seeing Gabby fall off the balance beam tonight was heartbreaking.

I've been a bit off today, not sure the source of the pain.  Right now I am totally comfortable - Tylenol 3 works - and am hoping all will be well by morning.

And this afternoon I actually got a real haircut!
