On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Monday wake-up

Buley and Misty went home with their real mommy today so we're down to only three dogs.  The house feels so empty!  Youngest Grandson returns tomorrow and that will help.

'Twas downright hot here in Wine Country this afternoon.  I was mostly in Juvenile Hall, which is air conditioned, but whenever I stepped outside the furnace blast was obvious.  So far I have only walked around the block - six minutes - but plan to walk again after sundown.

Steve and I have been watching some of the Olympic Games.  Neither of us is particularly sports minded, but the Games, well, the Games are really special.  I can't imagine having that much strength, muscle and stamina.  The athletes are awesome!
