On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Lucky day

Youngest Grandson has wanted to be a pilot ever since he was a little kid.  His mom has taken him to visit innumerable airports just to watch the flight activity.  At home he has a flight simulator on his computer for daily practice.

Today was his lucky day.  One of Steve's best friends is a retired United pilot who offered to take YG up in his own plane.  They were out for quite a while including several circles right over our house where I was waving like a mad woman trying to catch their attention.

I wonder what my dream would be if I were 12 years old again....
