On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Planning July

The entire neighborhood smells of rosemary.  It's a scent I appreciate, but I can't figure out who trimmed a hedge or whatever to create such overwhelm.  Steve and I were just outside walking dogs -- with Parisse walking so nicely we now walk all three -- and I kept noticing it.  Now, with windows open it's stronger than ever.  It's getting curiouser and curiouser.

I need to pull it together in a timely fashion tomorrow morning.  It's the first day that California State campgrounds will be accepting reservations and the kids - Youngest Daughter and Youngest Grandson - have been badgering me to organize a trip for them.  We missed all of last year because I wasn't up to it and then it got worse.  The year before we went to five different places. That's what they remember and so do I.  I think I could actually live in a tent if I had proper equipment and a way to keep warm in the winter.  Who needs a house, anyway?
