On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

One more thing

The oncology pharmacist called me this afternoon with concern for my low white cell count.  He reminded me to go straight to Emergency if I develop a fever.  I think that's because I have almost no immune system to recover on my own.  I will be avoiding everyone all weekend...

I do feel a tad better today and am awake most of the time.  That's called progress...

  3. Progress is progress! You are just rather matching the economy is all. It crashed and you crashed. It was worse than we expected and has had a bumpy road to getting back on track - like you. It IS getting there though and so are you. At this point the news worries over it not moving as fast as economists open for and I am sure that's how you feel too but it, and you, ARE moving forward! Bet you never thought you'd be compared to the economy did you?
