On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

January chill

Brrrrrr, it's cold today.  During the night it got down to 27º - and remember, this is California!  But the good news is that the rain will begin on Wednesday and continue for days.  That would be more normal for this time of year.

I curled up with my Kindle and read until I fell asleep this afternoon.  (Why do books, really good ones, put us to sleep?)

I'm gearing up for the fourth round of chemotherapy on Tuesday and hope my immune system has rebounded sufficiently to make that possible.  I definitely want those last three cycles of Taxotere, it has kept me alive for a decade already, an awesome response.
