On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Snapping your head off

I'm looking for humor wherever I can find it, in this case from the Metropolitan Etiquette Authority, whatever that is.  I wish I had the original sign as it would look great in Juvenile Hall where boys lose points for saggy, untucked pants.  The tucking isn't important to me, but the underwear view usually lacks personal interest.

I am in such a bad mood these days!  I'm obnoxiously angry and directing my rage toward the doctor who diagnosed me in the most abrupt way possible.  Being human, I immediately went into shock, much of which could have been avoided if he'd slowed the pace a little and said just a word or two to instill hope.

I could teach that young whippersnapper a thing or two.  But he was, at least, pulled up and tucked in.

  1. Oh my, I haven't looked at your blog in a while and just read of this latest health issue in your life. I'm so sorry it's happening to you. You still have your sense of humor, though. (That comment about the abrupt doctor at least not having sagging pants!)
