On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Face forward

I'm running on empty!  I was up until the middle of Sunday night getting ready for the two groups at Juvenile Hall yesterday.  Both went well so I'm glad I put in the effort, but it kept me busy all morning as well.

The good part was that I had to walk over to the art supply shop for something I needed for one of the projects and I wandered into a great sale - lots of supplies I regularly use were 60% off!  Don't you just love days like that?  And I got that mile of walking in at the same time.
