On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

TGIF

Any day I get the chicken coop cleaned out is a good day!  I crossed it off my to-do list today and now I don't have to think about it for a while.  Those girls are so incredibly messy!  I'll spare you the details, but let's just say that I was glad when I was finished.

The rest of the day was more typical.  Steve and I went out for a leisurely lunch and I maintained my one-mile walking streak for the 42nd day.  Some days I walk longer, but The Streak requirement that I imposed on myself is just one mile so I really have no excuse for ever, ever missing.

The weekend will be here on the home front.  I have a to-do list that would shake a mule, but wouldn't it be nice if I actually got it all done?
