On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Third day of summer

Wednesday is always my busiest day so by the time I get to Thursday it almost feels like the weekend is beginning.  Not quite, but almost.

The heat wave is officially over.  I pulled on a jacket when we walked the dogs this evening, it was that chilly although the rest of the day was perfect.

I've been watching the sunflowers poking through the soil.  I got a late start and didn't plant the  seeds until last week, but our winter doesn't usually start until December so there's plenty of time for them to grow.  It wouldn't matter anyway, sunflowers grow so quickly you can almost see it happening.

I always say summer is my least favorite season, but this year I'm not so sure.  Today was wonderful.
