On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Just bakin' in the rain

So what's a mother to do when it rains every day for a week?  Grab an umbrella and take the dogs for a walk and then come home and bake chocolate chip cookies, of course!  I only do this once a year, bake I mean, so my family was sort of going into shock, but I made four dozen so they should last for a few hours at least.  And I made them just the way I like them, crisp and chewy!

  1. Yummy. Makes me want to get out the old apron (which I too do about once per year!) LOL!

  2. We're in the same kitchen - I hadn't baked chocolate chip cookies in at least a year!
