Oh, but it was beautiful!
The chickens were keeping watch over me, upset that I was clearing away the old leaves they like to scratch through in search for whatever chickens consider valuable. Good girls, they, producing four to six eggs a day now so we're giving away as many as we use. It feels good to be generous!
