Hunkering down
Brix and I hiked through Sonoma Valley Regional Park this morning. We weren't being very brave -- the trail was a paved bike path -- but it was almost three miles round trip. Spanish moss was waving in the wind in abundance, everywhere. There were a few trees in full color, but mostly it is wintry here. We woke up to a little frost on the ground and ice in the puddles.
Several storms are on the way here, beginning during the night. Rain is forecast for at least the next five or six days and flooding is likely in some areas. We aren't in a flood zone so it won't be a problem for us, but parts of the county are badly hit some years.
I hope there are some patches of unscheduled time in between storms so Brix and I can continue our park walks. We're sort of on a roll!
