On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Eggs and more eggs

A fourth chicken, a Plymouth Rock, has begun laying this weekend. It was the first time we collected four eggs in a day, 20 in one week. 'Tis the season for baking and giving so we've been going through them quickly, especially when Steve bakes pumpkin pies for us and Oldest Daughter and her family.  But in "regular time" I think we're going to be deluged.  I TOLD that chicken salesman I only wanted three -- how did I end up with six???

OK, it's also Six-Word Saturday, something I tend to forget.  Let's see: Six hens, six eggs, so sick!
