Go, Giants, go!
There's no way I could sit in front of the World Series and focus totally on the game. Earlier today I was out walking Brix and remembered Hannah Hinchman's admonition to walk every day and always bring home something to draw. I came home with several leaves, twigs and branches and finally settled on this one. I'm not sure, but I think it's Pyracantha (also called Firethorn). It's loaded with wicked thorns and orange berries.
While we were out, Brix and I wandered into our local art supply store. I "needed" a water-soluble graphite pencil, came home with several and finally broke down to try the new Strathmore sketchbooks I've been successful in walking past (until today). There's a nice variety and I was pleased to see 140# watercolor paper available. Then I came home, plopped down in front of the game and began drawing with Prismacolor pencils. Go figure.
What a good idea to bring home stuff to draw from life. I love experimenting with new papers and pencils. Good job on your drawing too.
