On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Slogging off pounds

I'm getting so bored with food journaling! However, I know it's the best way to keep track and lose weight so I'm just looking for alternative ways to draw the pages.

I've been walking over two miles most days recently and feel the stronger for it. All the rain in northern California has given everything a slow start and walking is in that mix. I'm not much of a rain walker... yet.

A year ago I weighed 20 pounds more than I do now so I am actually losing weight, but it is a very, very slow proposition.

  1. ...I like how you're doing a food journal. I've been working like mad to shed weight also. So far, I'm at 19 pounds. It's a slow process for me too. My hubby lost all of his weight in 5 months--30 lbs! Men... :-)

Are you taking Laure's Art Journaling class?

  3. Thank you, both of you. Yes, Kelly, it's frustrating to watch how quickly men can shed pounds!
