On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

One more button

I am trying to get caught up on the button projects that have come my way. My return cards are much simpler than the postcards I have received, but dang! I can't draw a chicken!

Here in northern California we're in between storms. It rained yesterday, was sunny today, but tomorrow a larger storm is coming in. The biggest of the three will hit land on Friday. I just love living in coastal California where we can see the weather developing every time we look out the west-facing kitchen window. It's all right there.

You can draw chickens! At least they look like chickens. What you meant to say was that you don't think they are up to par. I like this a lot. Your colors and wonderful and I like the comp, too. Feathers are just like hair and fur. Takes some practice, that's all. Keep up the great work. I love that you post every day!
