On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Happy and I know it

Aside from about five little sprinkles, there was no precipitation at all today. One last little storm is headed our way tonight and then we have a week of sunny weather. But I love the rain!

Yesterday was chemotherapy day and also blood test day. Both my oncologist and primary care physician ordered pages and pages of tests.

The results came through today and I am stunningly healthy. Nothing was flagged. Even my tumor marker was normal. It was the best possible news.

It was also unpredicted given that I was diagnosed when the cancer was so widespread my bones were breaking and tumors were invading soft tissue. I have been so incredibly fortunate!
