It's all in the potential
Today's walking - 25 minutes with Demi
The entire community is beginning to burst into blossoms. You have to have sharp eyes to spot the tiny camellia bud in this drawing, but it was hard to see in person too. The bush is by our front door and is usually quite lovely when the blooms are fully developed.
I walked Demi to the public library this afternoon to show off her new purple cape and see if the children's department is ready to begin a new read-to-the-dog program. We've been in negotiations for months and I think it will begin in March.
Volunteerism is big in the United States these days and I look forward to contributing in that unique way. Demi looked great, by the way, and wagged her tail in her most friendly manner. She has a particularly gentle disposition (except when she whomps me on the leg because she wants to go for a walk) so I think she'll be great with kids. When she was a service dog she was assigned to a little boy. I've been told it was a perfect match.
There's a wonderful tenderness to this piece. Kudos.
