Ready for a new day
Our nation is experiencing unprecedented excitement regarding Barack Obama's inauguration tomorrow. In honor of our first African-American president and our first president from Hawaii, I drew plumeria, one of my most favorite flowers. My son lives in Honolulu; I would love to be there with him now.
In the meantime, today was our tenth day of above normal temperatures. I took Brix and Demi for a short walk this afternoon just to soak up the sunshine, which was glorious.
Youngest Daughter is continuing to do well. She didn't have any pain medication today, an enormous step forward. But she did say one really funny thing: "I miss my gallbladder."
I just got new watercolor pencils and posted some. It was so fun to see yours and recognize the medium you used! Love it.
ReplyDeleteIt was quite a day, wasn't it? Tell your daughter she'll get over the separation anxiety soon enough! :)
ReplyDeleteI've given you an award... visit my blog for details.
