On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!
Your journal is great! I especially like your drawing of the oratory. Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! Great format! Love this!
ReplyDeleteYour work is wonderful! I really love the approach, and you truly have me inspired! I have been trying and trying to visually journal but I just can't seem to "get it" - it's just easier to write. You have captured the essence of your trip in a way that wouldn't be possible in just words. Thank you so much for showing me the way - you have moved me.
ReplyDeleteThis is a really unusual and fun layout, Barbara. I think I would go silly trying to fit my sketches in that vertical format ... You have done a great job! I like the inclusion of a daily weather summary at the top of each column.
ReplyDeleteWas it the full Irish breakfast you had, complete with white pudding? Yum!
Your sketches are lovely, but I particularly like your records of each day! What a great way to do it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like quite a trip.
Clonmachnoise! My husband's aunt runs the little restaurant area there-it's a beautiful place, isn't it?
