ONE HAPPY FOOL

On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Shell and bell

Last night I drew this duo for my homework in the pastel class. I drew the bell a few months ago in watercolor so that part is a repeat using a different medium. We're having a lovely fall here in Wine Country (north of San Francisco) so I'm hoping to take advantage of the season with leaves, trees and fall color.

    This is so very nice! The soft lines and the muted colors. Nice work! I remember when you did the bell before. Keep up the great work!
