On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Where, oh where, has the year gone?

Today was another medical day.  More antibiotics, more x-rays, more new doctors because my regular ones weren't available today.  Everything seemed okay until I got home and threw up (again) in the driveway.

The good part was that I was able to buy some yarn for an afghan I really want to knit.  I've been wrapped in one all winter, one made for me by a church group.  I like it so much I looked up the pattern and want to knit a new one for myself.  I haven't knitted in decades, but the pattern is easy with large needles and a big chunky yarn so it should go fast.

Rain is approaching.  I feel as though I've missed at least two months - one month in the hospital, one month being sick.  We still haven't celebrated Christmas.  What a year!
