On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Not foggy here

The last two evenings I've blogged encouraging news about my health.  Each time, within the hour after posting, the pain level went off the charts (scale of 10, call it a 12).  Tomorrow I'll call to schedule a CT scan, what I've been trying to avoid, but is the next diagnostic step.  Usually I get in quickly so I hope I do this week as well.

Steve sent me a foggy ocean view from Fort Bragg this morning.  He's almost four hours away and talked about canceling, but I saw no need and urged him to go.  He'll be home by 4:00 pm and there's nothing he could do for me here anyway.  Youngest Daughter has become my new best fetcher.  She likes my texts.
