On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Thinking ahead

Agapanthus
Four weeks before classes begin for me and most school kids around here.  Oldest Daughter asked if we could continue to keep Youngest Grandson from Tuesday to Friday for that time and of course we said yes.  He's a delight to have around, a real sweetheart.  He's a tad shy, likes quiet time to himself, but is also enthusiastic about any activity we suggest and pitches in for household routines.  I'll really miss him when he's back in school and our nannying isn't needed.

These agapanthus (agapanthi?) absolutely have to get planted soon.  I brought them home on Thursday, but then the weather turned warm, quite warm, and I couldn't see myself drilling holes through clay, mixing in good soil and setting the plants in place while I was frying in the sun.

Soon, though.
