On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Skinny

It wasn't until the last hour that I remembered to pack poop bags so we can pick up after Demi, and a can opener for the night we have a pot of chili.  I made fresh chicken noodle soup to freeze - it would be thawed by the time we needed to warm it for Friday evening's dinner when there wouldn't be as much time to cook.  I also made a fresh batch of yogurt in little glass jars.  I'll pack everything in ice just before we head out.

The one thing I will miss is my Keurig.  Boiling water for instant coffee isn't going to cut it.
