Another summer day

Youngest Grandson and I trekked over to Petaluma to shop in The Seed Bank.  The building is a century-old bank, the kind I remember when I was a kid.  There was carving way up high which caught his attention.  He was full of Oh, wows when we first walked in.

The Seed Bank is full of heirloom seeds, hundreds of seed packets in display racks that would challenge a public library.  It's the hugest selection I've ever seen. We browsed and chose. The next step, of course, is to plant our findings in  pots that he can take home tomorrow evening.  He enjoys this sort of thing, he planted California poppies at home last year and now they are spreading

Nana's Art Camp was either a learning experience this afternoon or a bust, depending on your point of view.  We watched tutorials for the Bind-It-All but when we tried to bind our own sketchbooks there was a clear lack of expertise.  The videos made it look so easy!  We'll keep at it, but this was clearly a challenge.
