On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Whoever you are....

Youngest Daughter presented me with an Easter art piece this morning.

For those of you who are celebrating Easter, Passover, a birthday or any other day which holds deep meaning for you, I wish you the best.

  2. Happy Easter to you. I've just returned from 2 weeks vacation so have just had a chance to catch up. Sounds like you have had your ups and downs. Love that you used the electric cart - I've always wanted to try one of those!

  4. Hi Patty - I grew up in the midwest and longed to go to Alaska. I got caught up on your blog and it looks like you're longing to be back in the midwest!

Hi Timaree - Youngest Daughter, as you have probably figured out, is developmentally disabled. She's 39. She was proud as punch when she brought me the drawing. She said she made it the evening before.
