On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Wrapping up the weekend

More parrot photos from Honolulu were sent our way.  Here's a mated pair gazing in each other's eyes.  Awwww...

Youngest Daughter just left - before she turned into a pumpkin - after an especially nice visit.  I don't understand why she's having such a difficult time with care providers, but she was certainly mellow this weekend and we enjoyed her company.  We played several more rounds of gin rummy and I was unbeatable!

No one here is interested in football so we didn't see the Super Bowl, but I did catch cute snippets from the Puppy Bowl which was a lot more fun.  I could easily become an animal hoarder, the kind you read about in the newspaper, and clips like what I saw today just encourage me.  I wanted them all!

  1. I fight the urge to hoard dogs. Yes, it would be so easy to do!
