What's next?
It was her idea, her begging, to leave that started the search for an alternative living situation away from parents, but so far it hasn't worked. If her blood sugar is high, I just deal with it but her care provider insists on calling a doctor and then sends messages to a list of people about how difficult that is. Clearly, she's had it. I can't wait to have our daughter back.
As if that's not enough, Brix and Demi ate raisin bread so I just gave them syrup of ipecac and am waiting for them to barf. Many dogs are unaffected by raisins and grapes, but there's no way to know if we've got the ones that are, in which case the results can be disastrous.
Definitely not my best day!
Funny, our dogs (an older lab and a young springer spaniel) ate our valentine's double chocolate cookies Sunday morning. Hydrogen peroxide worked like a charm. We are pretty sure the lab ate most of it, but you can't be sure, so we gave it to both dogs.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find a group home that will be able to help your daughter. It sounds like she needs a little more supervision than the lone caregiver is willing or able to do.
