On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Making hay

I had the day to myself.  Youngest Daughter went to work and Steve enjoyed a day trip with a friend.

I took advantage of the quiet and sorted a backlog of papers - and then made a pinkie finger promise to myself not to get behind like that ever again.  I cleaned, shopped for groceries and tracked down all the medical paperwork for YD's visit tomorrow.

I hope her overnight goes well.  I reminded her that it's an opportunity to make three new friends.  She's very sociable and enjoys being with her peers.  So we'll see....
