On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Kicking up heels

Cut me some slack and just enjoy a dancing dog video (with sound turned on). I'm a sucker for those, mostly because I just can't imagine how many hours of training would go into making it happen.  I mean,  I haven't been able to teach myself how to dance, let alone my dogs.

Another day, another medical appointment. In this case the news was good. One of the tumors is definitely gone. That's better than the last report where progress was happening, but slow. Sometime in March I'll learn if I really am done with chemotherapy or if more cycles are indicated. At least I know that I've turned the corner on the current one and am feeling more energetic each day.

And the weather was gorgeous, very springlike with blossoms everywhere.

  1. I haven't been around for a while - so glad to hear you have turned the corner and are feeling better. I"m sorry to hear about your daughter, but at least you have peace of mind right now. How awful to not know if she's being cared for properly. I believe you are right, there is someone who will care for her the way you do, but it's just a matter of finding them. I'm having an art give-away, come over to my blog if interested!

  3. I enjoyed this yesterday and tried to comment but I was on my Xoom and for some reason it wasn't letting me. I ended up forwarding this to my grandkids who love dogs. I think they'll enjoy it too!

Glad one of the tumors is all gone. Hopefully the rest are following suit!
