On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Getting caught up

I slept for fourteen hours last night, typical for coming off of a steroid.  I also completed the three Neupogen injections so should be much more normal for the next seventeen days.

It's been raining for two days (YES!) and the ride on Rte. 12 (for the last shot) through the bare vineyards was lovely.  There's nothing as cozy as a warm car driving through the rain.  I saw five deer grazing near the road, a sight that will always make my day.

Maybe tomorrow I'll actually get something done!

  1. Don't rush yourself to get stuff done - it can all wait until you are healthy again. I'm glad you got so much sleep, that probably does your body good!
