On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

'Tis wintertime

'Twas a good day.  I worked three hours, cooked a pot of turkey noodle soup, read for a long, long time, did some online shopping and took a great nap.  For two days after chemotherapy that's plenty.  I really don't like it when a day feels totally wasted, no matter how ill I feel - and today I felt fairly well.

The cold continues with nights at about 30º F. - that's California, folks!  Steve had to scrape ice off the windshield before he could drive this morning.  Tomorrow will be warmer and rain is forecasted for the weekend.  I'll love it!

  1. Sounds like you did plenty for anyone. This would be close to a typical day for me - you are such a go-getter! My son said it was 27 degrees in Oceanside the other day. He'd just planted an herb garden; I hope it survived. This is pretty cold up there. Hope it doesn't bother grapevines and such.
