On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Getting ready

Yesterday was a lovely day in northern California.  Tourists were all over Sonoma Plaza and it took a bit of circling to even find a parking place.  We walked Demi and Brix - lots of other dog walkers were out too (most Plaza shops are dog friendly) and enjoyed the bustle of the afternoon.

Today the next chemotherapy cycle begins.  Actually it begins tomorrow - but today I begin the protective steroid medication and go for a blood draw.

And then I pretend all is well, all is normal and spend the afternoon with the kids at Juvenile Hall.  Wearing a hat....
