Two days later
Steve took Youngest Daughter to San Francisco for the day so she could shop for Christmas. Every hour or so I'd get a photo on my cell phone as they documented their way through the city. Here's the Christmas tree at Union Square.
I'm having a slow, easy day. I have the house to myself - well, myself + three dogs + one cat + five chickens. I have nothing I have to get done today, which is good because I don't have the energy to do it. So I've been sitting around a lot, dozing, trying to finish Steve's crossword puzzle which seems unusually difficult today.
The day is bright and sunny, the first lovely day all week. A day for making a turkey sandwich, right?

Sounds like you had an enjoyable and restful Thanksgiving. I'm so glad to hear it, you need rest and taking it easy! I can't believe your husband actually takes your daughter shopping...my husband pays other people to do his Christmas shopping - I can't complain, my sister knows me well and always chooses good stuff. My husband hates shopping, crowds, traffic and all that goes with it.
