On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Getting ready

The weather shifted today to something wintery with rain on the way.  I worked a few hours but was in enough pain to take medication and later fell asleep.

I'll be glad when the treatment plan is in place. One test takes a while to "cook" but gives valuable information so the wait is worth it.

I gave formal notice to several organizations that I won't be available to participate so my world is shrinking, but I know how necessary it will be to have time for medical appointments and recovery time.

Goodbye art classes, goodbye parks and docent training and leading tours.  Just can't maintain the pace right now.
