On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Wrongly focused

I wish I was a cat or dandelion or something that lives in the moment more easily than I do.  I obsess, they don't - unless it's about food or something tangible.

Brix, family top dog, obsesses about his territory, the safety of the household and about any female dogs that walk by the house.  But then it's all off his mind until the next threat to his status or he sees an attractive opportunity.  I, on the other hand, obsess in between prompts and triggers, I mean, I never miss a chance to really obsess!

  1. Animals seem to do better but when they are hurting they can't understand why treatment might hurt a bit or that they will get better. They just have to live in the moment then too.

I hope this goes through. I don't see my other comment even after using Chrome.

My sister has your surgery date so her group will be praying for you.

  2. The other good thing about animals is how much comfort they offer. They'll sit on the sofa with me for hours on end! - Barbara
