Head's in a whirl
That's rather unusual. Breast cancer migrates to the bones (all of mine), to the liver (got mine) and to the lungs and brain (not yet). None of the infusion nurses had ever heard of breast mets to the bladder.
The oncologist called it "a minor setback." I need another CT scan and a new bone scan for restaging - to see if there is progression anywhere else. Based on those results an alternative treatment plan can be developed. It may be only a daily pill, or it may be more systemic chemotherapy.
In the meantime, I don't know if I'm comin' or goin' - I just know I'm back in more familiar territory and I'm glad for that.
An interesting update for sure, Barbara. I'm glad it's not a new cancer, and I'm also thankful to see the "minor" in "minor setback." Good luck as the next steps of gauging and treating get underway. You'll be in my thoughts.
