On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Day at a time

I'm still waiting for the pathology report which holds a lot of information about my future.  The first one was inconclusive so another lab in San Francisco will do more studies.  Then I'll know if I need chemotherapy and what kind or if another type of treatment is indicated.

In the meantime, I've tapered off the pain medication so I should be more alert soon and sleeping less.

I have nothing scheduled until Monday and should be feeling fairly normal by then.

  1. Inconclusive! Wow, that isn't nice to hear. I am still hoping and praying for good news. Glad you have been able to taper off the pain meds. Hope you hear soon. Waiting is hard to do when so much hangs on what the outcome is. Take care. Kiss and hug the dogs as that is sure to help some!

  3. Still praying for and thinking of you even though I haven't been on to comment. It's so hard to wait for results, isn't it? Let's hope that slow news is good news!
