On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Cleverness shared

Look at the get well card my watercolor teacher delivered this afternoon!  Inside are all the signatures of my classmates.  Last month we learned how to paint skies - so here's an example of what you can do with a practice piece - add balloons over the margins and lift up someone's heart.  I am so pleased!!!

  1. I do hope you are feeling a bit better today. Keeping the positive thoughts and prayers going and waiting with you for the "good" news.

  2. Very happy little card. Hang on that thought of soaring once again. Hope you are feeling a bit better by now.

  3. Such a sweet little card.
I know it brought a smile to your face.
    Hope you're feeling better.
You're in my thoughts and prayers

  4. Thank you everyone. I'm hoping for good news soon. - Barbara
