Life is short, choose a color
We've gotten as far as monochromatic colors in my color theory class. The last assignment was to choose one of the primaries and complete an acrylic painting with that one color. (Black and white don't count.) I chose yellow and mixed up various grays.
(I'm not fond of acrylic paint, by the way, but let's not get negative.)
Because our environmental training class yesterday focused on reptiles I decided to combine the two interests and drew this guy. On our hike we saw several Western Fence lizards (they aren't yellow) and five Pacific rattlesnakes. They were being, uh, pacific....

I really like this guy. The colors pop so much against the gray, and his expression is so fun
ReplyDeleteIt was fun! I got a little frustrated with the limitations - only one color - but got into the challenge. - Barbara
