On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Waiting...

I'm waiting for the results of the CT scan I had this afternoon.  I wasn't particularly anxious until after the test.  Once I was officially in the wait-for-a-phone-call stage I started freaking out.  Hopefully I'll hear on Thursday - that's likely - and even more hopefully, the results will show that I'm still in remission. That last part is always a gamble. When you've been in stage four for 9-1/2 years you sort of take what you can get and wish for the best.
