On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

There's always an advantage

I'm still coughing, sleeping and doing not much. The advantage to lying low is that I get to read a lot, take long naps and draw zentangles.

This is the 9th zentangle tile for the September Relay for Life in Santa Rosa, California. They will decorate the luminaria ringing the track at the evening display. I would like to complete 200 by then so I have a lot of tangling left to do and I'm not known for completing goals. Last year I finished 20 or so and then quit.

This year, a non-stop cough, the family cold, is keeping me going.
