On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

In my bleary state

Here in northern California the royal wedding  began at 3:00 a.m. The earlier coverage simply continued after the late evening news and I admit to watching from midnight to 4:30. At that point I gave up and went to bed for a short nap before time to face the day for real. I missed the double kiss, but caught up this evening.

You know, I'm not really into the royals, but I love pageantry and ceremony. I've been to Westminster Abbey twice as a tourist and I wouldn't have missed an opportunity to hear the change-ringing for anything. It was quite a day - and I'll be in bed by 9:00 tonight!

  1. That is exactly why I watched it from 1 a.m until I fell asleep around 4 (before the kiss).

    Hi from Davis.

Wow - that is dedication! I watched the whole thing (in the UK) and felt worn out by it all at lunchtime ...
