On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Visit with a dear friend

Today I got to visit a puppy I raised a few years ago. This is Beulie, whose story is HERE, but the visit was bittersweet because she's now a patient in a veterinary hospital with Lyme disease.

We are hopeful - and today she looked great - but the prognosis is worrisome because she has developed kidney disease as a complication. I'm told she was quite ill yesterday - and so we were called - but today she was out and about for a short while. Did she recognize me? YES!

  1. I am sorry to hear about your dog. I know how difficult this must be for you... I am glad she was able to get out for a short while.
