On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Hold that pose!

Brix (aka Big Baby) was one foot off the ground when I asked him to stand there. He was totally freaked. We were in a public park this afternoon, just walking and enjoying the trail. At the end of this little trek we stopped by a group picnic area where the signpost looked like potential statue material.

I need to walk more and I need to bring along my little sketching stool so I can stop at will and draw what's in front of me. I opted out of that part today because the ground was muddy from last night's rain and I didn't want Brix lying in it while I drew. But next time....

  1. aaaah poor baby. Brix does look a little stressed at having to stand still on that very tall platform! ha ha Dogs are so funny - they don't like doing the unordinary.
