On 01.02.02, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. Too late for surgery, I had chemotherapy, which failed. In May the chemotherapy was changed and I was soon in remission which was celebrated and welcome and lasted nine years - until October 2011. There was progression in 2011 so more treatment was indicated and I am now back in partial remission. But I'm not only a cancer patient - I also enjoy my family, walk my dogs and am learning to draw and paint. Life is good!

Behind in life

I'm still sick, coughing, coughing, coughing. I'm full of codeine and hot fluids. I'm sleep-logged. Steve took my place with Demi-The-Library-Dog this afternoon while I slept. I did work a couple hours, but mostly I've been sleeping.

Tomorrow is lightly scheduled, the most important part to me being my watercolor class. I want to add a new page to my fake journal. April is International Fake Journal Month, as you know, and I was on board on Day One.

I have now completed three pages. Uh, do the math, eleven days/three pages, not exactly storming through the book as I had planned. I may be working in the same book during the summer making it my fake journal for April as well as the spring and summer of 2011. It will be time to think about next April's project when I finally roll out the final page of this one. That's how bad a cold it's been!

  1. I do hope you feel better soon! Sounds like a nasty cold. Have fun with the fake journal - maybe a day in our lives equals 3 in the faux journal land.

  2. Barbara-- If it takes you all year to finish your fake journal that's fine with me! Just keep sharing your pages. I hope you're back to normal soon, and back out there with Demi!
